If you REALLY want a particular position, you REALLY have to go for it. Fight for it. Make it your goal. My first legal job I got from cold calling from the phone book (you Youngens don't know what I am talking about), but I landed my position in less than five calls. I was hired over the phone, and this position in particular changed the total trajectory of my life. Stop being afraid. If you graduated college, start assuming a leadership mentality with courage. Vondran Legal® is a boutique copyright infringement law firm. We help artists and creative entrepreneurs protect their legal rights through the settlement process and federal court litigation. This position provides a real opportunity to grow with our family-based law firm. We have offices in California and Arizona, but this is a remote position for the right focused and hard-working candidate.
Role Description
This is a full-time contract assignment for a copyright infringement investigator—photo infringement. The investigator will be responsible for conducting detailed internet investigations searching for copyright infringement of our client's copyrighted art, illustrations, and photography. You will help identify infringements and assist with drafting demand letters. Having knowledge of legal procedure and preparing litigation pleadings is also part of the job. Additional legal-related assignments can also be expected.
Qualifications
- Experience in copyright infringement investigations and intellectual property law
- Knowledge of how to document online photo infringement
- Legal research and analysis skills
- Experience preparing detailed memorandum
- Ability to prepare legal pleadings in conjunction with an attorney
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a legal team
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field
- A passion for protecting intellectual property rights of creative artist
- Strong interest in photography is helpful

October 2020 Job Opening - LAW CLERK EXTRAORDINAIRE.
Requirements.
- We are currently looking for a P/T "remote" law clerk (approximately 20 hours per week, potentially more).
- Skillset must include the following: ability to work remotely via Zoom, conduct legal research via Lexis/Nexus, prepare pleadings, write memorandums of law, communicate with clients on an "as-needed" basis, gather facts from opposing counsel, help with discovery (we have appeared in over 200 federal court copyright litigation cases so this MUST be your specific area of legal interest), write blogs, and assist as otherwise needed.
- We require QUICK, RESPONSIVE clerks who can work independently
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Strong understanding of DMCA and copyright law required
- Must have the "CAN-DO" attitude. We embrace solutions, not excuses!
- Must have fully completed first-year law school with top (verifiable) grades
- Must be willing to provide detailed updates as to what you are working on (typically, I will provide a list of things I need done, and I need them done by the due dates, or BEFORE).
- You will be required to keep an accurate timesheet.
- You must be extremely MOTIVATED and ORGANIZED and have a STRONG PASSION for IP law.
- Must be in the top 10% of your class and from an ABA-approved law school.
- Salary starts at $25/hour, and bonuses are available for strong performances.
- Potential for a full-time attorney position exists for the right candidate.
